Job Description

Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in construction and paving safely and efficiently.
Perform general labor duties as needed: including but not limited to shoveling, raking, hand work, etc.
Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
Wage to commensurate with experience and/or possession of CDL
Day shift including overtime; some projects may require night work
Monday to Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays as needed

Position Requirements:
Must:

Have at least one year of experience operating heavy equipment
Be able to stand for long periods of time
Able to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
Possess valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
Must have reliable transportation to work
High School diploma/GED
Display a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
Report to work at the designated start time.
Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while adhering to safety requirements and procedures at all times.

Preferred:

Previous asphalt, line striping, grading, or seal coat experience
Possess a Class-A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Air Brake Endorsement
Previous experience doing outdoor labor work in extreme heat
This position performs a wide variety of manual tasks including shoveling and raking material to grade, hand work, etc.
Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
